Flooring Design Group.
NHQ Certified and OSHA Compliant:
NHQ Certification:
We are proud to announce that in 2005 we were the first trade contractor in the State of Georgia to complete a certification program administered through the National Association of Home Builders. To do so we had to meet requirements for strict guidelines, record keeping, and policies and procedures manuals. This certification is the NAHB equivalent of being ISO 9000 compliant.
NHQ Standards are:
- Have construction specs available to the crew on the jobsite.
- Use only materials that you have approved.
- Specify quantities as well as products.
- Always make sure a qualified installer is on the jobsite.
- Have the contractor’s crew perform inspections.
FDG does all of this and more. It is equally important to have the proper means in place to effectively track these statistics. As an established company we already had a lot of quality checks in place, but the NHQ Program allowed us to pinpoint certain “hot spots” so we could concentrate on those and fine tune the systems we had in place. Every Friday, we have “hot spot” training classes for our installation crews. At the end of the day, delivering a true quality product hinges on the amount of effort put into it. FDG goes the extra mile to deliver a quality product and meet our customer’s expectations.
OSHA Compliant:
Quality-focused builders recognize that continually improving safety is an important part of the building process. FDG has an effective safety management program that includes FDG and builder-specific jobsite safety policies, regulations, and procedures as well as other OSHA specified items including documented procedures for reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, hazardous material communications, and tool safety.
In February of 2006, Flooring Design Group became a member of the National Safety Council. By being a member we were able to access information concerning stringent safety practices and develop our safety program to a very high level. At FDG we believe that quality and safety go hand in hand.
